The Absa Rewards programme is a rewards programme designed to give you money back as you spend using your Absa card.
To earn cash back, all you need to do is to use your Absa card for point-of-sale and online purchases. You’ll earn cashback on all qualifying transactions.
In addition, you’ll also get access to great offers and promotions from Absa’s reward partners.
How It Works
To qualify for the Absa Rewards programme, you need to have an Absa transactional account.
Application into the programme can be done online in a few simple steps.
The monthly membership fee is R23.20 whilst the yearly fee total is R278.40.
No membership card required to earn. Simply pay with any of your Absa cards to earn cash back.
When you participate in the programme, you’ll earn real cash for point-of-sale and online purchases made with your Absa card, to spend any way you choose.
This may sound too good to be true to some, but there is no catch here. It is true, all you need to do is spend using your Absa card, make sure all your Absa accounts are in good standing. Also, make sure your membership fee is paid.
You can earn up to 30% cash back on everyday purchases from our grocery, fuel and health and beauty partners.
1 Grocery – Up to 30% cash back at Food Lover’s Market, Pick n Pay and Woolworths.
2 Fuel – Up to 30% cash back when you fill up or shop at Sasol.
3 Health and Beauty – Up to 30% cash back on health and beauty purchases at Dis-Chem.
4 Absa Reward Partners – Up to 30% cash back at Rewards partners.
5 Cash back – Up to 1.15% cash back on all other Absa card purchases from Absa Rewards.
Absa Reward Partners include Bolt, Woolworths, Dis-chem Pharmacies, Net Florist, Baby City, Sasol, Pick n Pay, Food Lover, Avis, NuMetro and Travel Start to mention a few.
NOTE: Its is not all Reward Partners that you earn 30% cash back. At some Partners the cashback percentage might be lower. Always check with Absa what cash back is earned from a Partner.
How to use your cash back
Redeem your cash back for: cash, investment in an Absa Savings or Investment Account, airtime, donation to one of our listed partner charities, and Nu Metro movie ticket vouchers.

Absa Rewards Calculator
This is also called the Estimator. It is a useful tool found on the Absa website.
It gives a rough estimate of the potential Cash Rewards you could earn.
To make use of the Absa Rewards calculator;
- You need to visit their website and get to the Estimator tab.
- Next, you select the bank products you have and how you bank
- Insert your monthly spend amounts and the Estimator will provide an estimate of the Cash Rewards you may receive.
